I'm in a debate for school, yet again. The topic is "Junk Food Should Be Banned From School Cafeterias and Vending Machines" and I'm on the Propostition.
Any reasons why Junk Food should be banned?

Answers:
Obesity

Diabetes

Cardiovascular disease

Dental Caries

Cancer

Metabolic Syndrome

ADHD

Depression/Affective Disorders

Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative diseases

Osteoporosis

etc.

Every chronic disease is related to poor dietary choices. Schools should not be supporting poor health habits that cause major health problems by selling junk food.
usually kids wont want to take the time to make a lunch so they will by junk food is more appealing to the average kid so thus to much may be eaten
bad for your health is the main thing. so many kids are overweight because junk food is so accessible to them. sadly it does not seem to be slowly going down. Maybe keep the vending machines, but have more healthy food in there instead, that way kids can get something quick, but it can be more healthy. hope this helped you some.
childhood diabetes, I read an article yesterday that said a new study on children revealed after doing test on children's heart many already were at risk of having a heart attack! must text book will tell you only severe trauma or a disease put children at risk of a heart attack do to them being young, Now were learning that kids have high cholesterol, do to their diets and most of America's children ( adults to ) are over weight.
kids in schools will generally go for these foods instead of choosing the healthier ones. if these foods are not allowed in the school at all and healthier foods are, then kids will have no choice but to eat them. Sometimes school is the only place where the children get healthy foods. School defenitely is a start.
