Is throwing up after you eat dangerous?
Question:
Answers:
YES!!
Diagnostic Criteria
Recurrent episodes of binge eating. An episode of binge eating is characterized by both of the following:
eating, in a discrete period of time (e.g., within any 2-hour period), an amount of food that is definitely larger than most people would eat during a similar period of time and under similar circumstances
a sense of lack of control over eating during the episode (e.g., a feeling that one cannot stop eating or control what or how much one is eating)
Recurrent inappropriate compensatory behavior in order to prevent weight gain, such as self-induced vomiting; misuse of laxatives, diuretics, enemas, or other medications; fasting; or excessive exercise.
The binge eating and inappropriate compensatory behaviors both occur, on average, at least twice a week for 3 months.
Self-evaluation is unduly influenced by body shape and weight.
The disturbance does not occur exclusively during episodes of Anorexia Nervosa.
Specify type:
Purging Type: during the current episode of Bulimia Nervosa, the person has regularly engaged in self-induced vomiting or the misuse of laxatives, diuretics, or enemas
Nonpurging Type: during the current episode of Bulimia Nervosa, the person has used other inappropriate compensatory behaviors, such as fasting or excessive exercise, but has not regularly engaged in self-induced vomiting or the misuse of laxatives, diuretics, or enemas
------------------------------.
Differential Diagnosis
Anorexia Nervosa; Binge-Eating/Purging Type; Kleine-Levin syndrome; Major Depressive Disorder, With Atypical Features; Borderline Personality Disorder.

yes, you can totally tear up your esophagus and stomach lining! yes, it is. It's known as a eating disorder called bulimia. you need to get down to the bottom of why you are doing it to understand why it's dangerous.
Yes it is. Not only do you not get the nurtrients your body needs. But the stomach acid can damage your esophagus and will erode the enamel of your teeth (and they will get cavities or just fall out).
it is not right to throw up after you eat .. I am sure if it continues you should see a doctor. and if you are doing it deliberately then it could mean you are scared of gaining weight .. Either way I think you may have a problem..
Depends on how often you do it. Every so often, I would say no. I would, however, question the thought process that leads to making yourself throw up, and I would say that that process is more dangerous than actually throwing up.
Unless you make yourself throw up to the point where you're malnourished. Then it, and the thought process are both dangerous.
If that makes any sense.
if ur MAKING urself throw up after u eat its called bulemia and ya need help Are you bulimic or something? Because either way, it is sort of bad for you. See a doctor if it continues.
You have to stop that b/c every time you throw up the acid int your stomach comes up, which means your esophagus will be damaged aswell as your teeth and tongue. Don't throw up after you eat, the food needs to come out the other way.
Don't forget to brush your teeth after wards because the stomach acid will eat away at your teeth. You may loose some weight and some teeth too.
