Bariatric surgery safe?
Question:
I am worried the side effects with surgery I have a baby that really has no one but me and daddy.
Anyone know anything about the lap belt??
Answers:
There is no such thing as a safe surgery.
Even the simplest procedure, given the right circumstances, can be fatal.
You're 6'1".even if you drop the 100 pounds you gained.335, though over weight, is not as bad off as you could be.
You will need to ask your physician his/her stand on gastric bypass or any other surgery.
Chances are, if you have not tried any diets or diet pills (prescription) that will be the first order of business before a surgery.
Good luck hon, and congrats on your daughter! Lots of women that weight cannot conceive.

You have to weigh the pros and the cons. My mom and her twin sister had it done 2 yrs ago they have both lost over 100 lbs. The have had negative affects. I am considering the lap band, I am 110 over weight. And I think the lap band is a lot cheaper than the reg gastric bypass. I think they have had a lot of success in Australia with the Lap Band. Good Luck.
I had the gastric bypass done 2 yrs ago and did very well with it. But if you're looking for the best answers, try this website..obesityhelp.com.
I found many q&a's regarding both gastric bypass and the lapbelt. They also go into details about how you can get your insurance to cover your surgery, whichever way you go.
Congrats on your new child and good luck with your search!

My mother has had it my father has had it and my cousin had it and my best friend had it done, it is good for some people but i feel for some people it should not be done, like my great aunt got it done whne she was 70 yrs old and yet she aint much healthier then she was when she was bigger, my best friend has lost weight but she has the proublem with the loose skin, my mom and dad lost their weight but they gained some back and my mom has proublem with eating certain foods. my advice is as long as you hav e some one there to help for awhile i would do it if you are sure it is what you want, but i would make sure you tryed everything before you get it. The surgery should always be last resort, good luck i hope everything works out for you. I want to say up front, that I am not familiar with the lap belt procedure but 8 years ago, I did have the bariatric surgery called Roux-n-Y, and it basically cut my stomach down to a smaller size and the only regret that I have had is that I didn't have it done 20 yrs ago! I have been at the same "normal" weight now for over 5 yrs and I never have to worry about my weight. like I did for 20 plus years and I feel wonderful! Find something that works for you and "go for it!" Medical advances has made so many improvements in the last 10 years, and you'll be amazed with the results!
Take care and Good luck!
Jayne I did a cleansing diet and lost 10.5 pounds and 17 inches in only 9 days. I feel great. These program work by removing toxins from your body. You get toxins from pesticides, preservatives, chemicals, hormones in the meats etc. The toxins are stored in your fat cells. To remove the fat, you must remove the toxins. You can do this with a cleansing program. Check out the link. It is a bit expensive, but worth it because it works! Join the mailing list for great info
Try this before going under the knife! My brother in law is 6 ft 4 and 368. In 9 days he lost 43 pounds and in 7 weeks lost 68! He feels great! You can do it too! Try this first! Please!
