What is the best way to train for a half marathon?

I've done a half-ironman. That's 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a half marathon.
I dunno.....run, I suppose. I always took the running part easy. I always did a lot of swim training and bike training and usually ran 3 or less miles every time I ran, which was a few times a week. The first time I ever ran more than 4 miles in one stretch was at the half-ironman.
I suppose you just run to train.
The Leukemia and Lymphona Society's Team in Training. You can contact your local society for more information. They will train you for a marathon or half marathon and you help them by raising money through pledges.
They have support groups and you get to work with other people who are also in training.
