How do I learn to run?
I have never been a runner and when I run it's not fast and probably is more of a jog. I am not in shape at all so I can't run very long without feeling like I am going to die. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a beginner on learning to run. Right now when I run, I wear myself out completely and am discouraged from keeping it up on a regular basis. I run until I feel exhausted then I walk then I run again when I feel I've regained some energy. Is there a better way to start running regularly so I am not dreading it everyday? I want to enjoy it.
Answers:
always limber up first, stretch, and start out slow so you dont pull a hammy, then start running for endurance, slowly building up your speed. You have to eat and drink right also. As you keep up your new hobby, you will meet other runners and learn more about its aspects.

I'm not a runner myself but what i do is first take a brisk walk around the track (that is 1st round), then on the second round, i jog and gradually increase my speed. when i feel like dying i would slow down, but not stop. give yourself an allowance. don't rush things. it has to be gradual.i want to lose about 20 pounds--help!?

Hi! Mostly everyday, my mom and I walk at the Y. Maybe you could start out at walking a couple laps. After 2 or 3, start to jog. If that's too hard, then walk. If it's okay, then increase your rate of jogging and try to run. I hope everything works out okay.
Is it true that you actually burn calories while driving?
well when i began i ran a half mile then stopped for a little then ran another half mile. Eventually i was able to run a mile without stopping. then you can just run more and more. Two things of advice:1. run through pain, unless it's something other then cramped up muscles because that can be dangerous.
2. you don't get into shape after one run. It will take a couple weeks of running everyday before you can go from a jog to a run.
Just keep a regular schedule and you'll be fine. Everyone starts out slow.
Do negative calorie foods make you lose weight?
literally, walk before you run. get used to walking a good distance, preferably somewhere with some vertical feet (uphill). Walk as much as you can day to day. As you get better at walking, you can then start to jog then to run. gradually your cardiovascular system will come around. I think a good conversion is if you can walk 30 minutes straight without difficulty, you should be able to run for 10. 60 minutes walking = 20 mins run, and so on.you dont need a trainer per se, you just need to realize that its not immediate gratification.
