Is it safe to take more than 37.5 mg. of phentermine a day?

Question: If I am taking 30 mg. and split one in half taking the half 6 hours after the original dose, is it safe?

i would keep the dose low as directed..i took them off and on over the recent years and i built up a tolerance to them and now they do nothing !
