i need help gettin back into shape this school years sports?


Question:
ok i would like to get into shape for basketball besides practicing what other exercises should i do? so far i jog on treadmill , do crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, calf raises and the one where your against the wall in a sitting position. any suggestions on other exercises and how long i should do each it would be really helpful. thanx a lot

You are doing a great job in getting in shape. but why don't you try jogging outdoors? it will work you out better than the treadmill. crunches, do 150-200, calf raise 50, leg lifts 50-75, wall thing 60-120 seconds or to failure, and be on the treadmill for about 35-60 minutes. i think you are doing enough already
but maybe you should do strength exercises every other day
and then do stretching exercises every other day that you aren't doing strength exercises (about an hour)
if by shape you mean losing weight stretching helps you lose weight and you can do push ups for more muscles
if you do too much exercising you might hurt yourself or pull a muscle so be careful
