Need help with push ups, is there and exercise that i can do to improve them without actually doing push ups?


Question:
They hurt my wrist really bad, but i need to work out the muscles in order to be able to do them, I prefer to do puch ups only if necessary. I just want an exercise to help me get better at them without actually doing them.

Try leaning against a wall and do pushups that way. also look into glucosamine sulfate for joint pain like your wrist....sorry to say you cant get better at anything than actually doing it.

Try girls' push ups... let your knees touch the floor. This recuces the push up weight that has to be lifted.
Well push ups focus on your arm strength, so why don't u try lifting weights. Like for ex. lifting 3,5,or 10 pound dumbells.
That's what I do.
I wish there was a pill to take called the "push up pill" lol
