Has anyone tried boxing or kick-boxing for your work out? If so, is it pretty difficult?

Answers:
Yeah, boxing is an excellent workout. Boxing workouts will definitely cut weight, fast. I don't know what kinda program you'll be doing, but for overall body weight loss as well as body toning, I suggest doing maybe 3 boxing workouts each week. As a warm-up, do 2-3 rounds of shadowboxing @ 2 minutes. Then, perform either 600 revolutions or 2 rounds @ 2 minutes of jump rope. And, if you have access to equipment, 2 rounds @ 2 minutes each of heavybag, double-end bag, and speed bag. Start slow, then progress as your level of fitness increases.
Don't be frightened - it is a tough workout, but, I guarantee after 5 or 6 classes, you won't feel a thing.

I've tried kick-boxing and you've got nothing to worry about if you're already doing cardio 3 times a week. It seems you're in pretty good shape and should be able to handle it. It'll be a good workout, very upbeat.
Oh kickboxing rocks. I have been at it about a year. I did not notice much weight loss and I am in the same boat as you but I know I am in better shape overall. It is so much fun. If you are already doing 3xs a week you will be fine but it will kick your butt which is a good thing. Have fun. Hey if you are overwhelmed the first time def. go back it is worth it and it gets more and more fun.
