The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d

Well, the problem is that your body is trying to tell you that you can't burn off what you eat. Either you have a medical condition or your body must be worked harder with less food. I would eat only twice a day, skipping breakfast altogether. Drink caffine products, not to get the energy but they are some of the easiest sugars to burn. When you go to the gym, work out until you're sweating like crazy, I mean 'running down your face', okay. And don't leave unless your; abes, chest, arms, and legs are all burning. Then the next day you rest and don't work out at all. The next day though, you go back in and do it all over again. Do this religiously for about 4 weeks, I guarantee results.
I have to say that I started at the gym when I began to notice the weight beginning to pack on to me. I also changed my eating habits to a sensible low fat diet, which I try to stick by. However after joining the gym and working out hard four times a week, as well as other out of gym activities, I put on another 4 kg. But when I look in the mirror now, I don't see a lump that is bulging in all the wrong places.. I see a well sculptured body which I can be proud of. I went from the low end of a healthy weight for my size, to the high end, but muscle weighs more than fat and I know it is because I have substituted fat for muscle. If you find a body mass index calculator on the net, you can check out if you are in the healthy weight bracket for your size. If you look in the mirror and give yourself a truthful appraisal you should also be able to see if you are improving. Just make sure you stick to a sustainable healthy low fat diet and get in plenty of exercise.. keeping your heart rate up for at least half an hour about 4 times a week and you should see improvements. If not then maybe your problem is medical and you should see a Dr. Also I would add that it took a year of hard work at the gym before I would be seen in public in bike shorts, so remember "Rome wasn't built in a day" ;)
