when they add the corn syrup and artifical flavoring etc. etc.

Water doesn't become soda. When water is mixed with lots of sugar, coloring and carbonation, the mixture is called soda. Yes it still contains water, but the sugar content is what is bad for you. when they process the water by adding carbonate. sugars, and other preservatives

When they add the co2 to make the bubbles and then add the cola syrup.. It becomes soda.

The "soda" that is bad for you is the stuff that is loaded with sugar, sugar substitutes (i.e. chemicals), or sodium. Flavored water and carbonated water -- the calorie-free and sugar-substitute-free type -- is not bad for you at all, though the carbonation can upset some people's stomachs and can also leech calcium out of your teeth. Unless you are drinking it all day long, every day, though, it's perfectly safe. And DEFINITELY a better alternative to calorie-laden sodas. when water became soda, when it add syrup

Basically, water becomes soda when it has been carbonated with carbon dioxide gas. That is what gives it its fizz. When sugar and coloring as well as flavoring is added, it becomes soda pop.

It doesn't, it's just a base ingredient, all the other stuff in the soda is bad.
