Answers:
I feel that it is better to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and nuts to lose weight. You get all the fresh nutrients of the whole fruits and vegetables. When fruits are dried you lose some Vitamin C. Dried fruits have a long shelf life though.

The second link below tell about the benefits of eating Prunes and losing weight.

I wish you the best in finding a way to lose weight and to eat right.

Other Answers:
lots of sugar in rasins, and fat in nuts

eat more veggies Some fruit has more natural sugar than others and so is higher in calories. A few are: grapes (raisins are dried grapes), watermelon, actually any of the melons (casaba, honeydew, cantaloupe), strawberries, bananas. Some of the less ones: blueberries, apples, etc. American Diabetes Association would have a list of the high sugar ones and the lower sugar ones.
