What are some great strategies in improving balance and posture?

swimming is a great way to improve posture. i know it may sound crazy, but it does. your back muscles get used to being straight in the water, that when you stand, you posture is straight and arched like a dancers posture

Do excercises that help tone and strengthen your back and stomach muscles to improve your posture. Keep your head up to help with balance, your head carries the biggest percentage of your balance.
stand parallel to a wall within arms distance (but you don't have to keep your arm on it). bend one leg back 90 degrees at the knee and stand/balance for 1 minute. switch legs and repeat. this will stengthen your ankles. keep your stomach tight and that will strengthen your core muscles. sit ups will keep your core in good shape too.
at the onld place i was living at i would hop on this low wall and just walk back and forth and it helped my balence. as for posture nust stand stright. but rember the bast way to get better at any thing is to do it. to improve dancing then dance.
always practice sitting up straight with showders pulled back and back straight and you should do it all the time that will help your posture and I don't know what to tell you about balance if you are clumsy sugar baby
i suggest taking pilates and yoga. there are also many pilates/yoga combo classes popping up everywhere because its so popular now. I know when i was oding pilates my back and abs felt so strong yet balanced. You dont even have to be skinny to do it. The s primary muscle involved in dancing, and most sports are called your "core muscles". The core muscles are you inner thighs, butt, abs, back, shoulders and chest. Pilates was actually created and invented by a ballet dance instructor named Josepsh Pilates in the 50's or 60's (hence the name). Check any club gym or YMCA. good luck.
