Whats the best way to lose a few pounds?

I want and need to lose weight and I need to fast. I nedd advice from personal experience. Not just go to the gym bull!

Answers:
A great way to lose weight is to incorporate exercise into the patterns of your life. That is . . . take the stairs when you get the chance. Walk to the store or the metro. Make a habit of doing a "counter-pushup" every time you go to the fridge. Quick situps as you wait for the microwave. (Believe it or not, I do this.) It's got to be part of your life for you to continue to do it.

Playing with what you eat is also helpful. Try new recipes (lots of sites online!) and Cooking Light is a good way to find light recipes. More vegetables, fresher ingredients. . . you may find it's fun to experiment with healthier food.

Hate to say it, but losing weight takes work and dedication. You've got to consciously think about what your life looks like now, how you can change.
Go on a starvation diet
Working out is probably your best solution. You need to burn calories.

Or stop eating for a few days

i lost some weight by jogging every morning before i eat breakfast .. that helps .
Go vegetarian. I did and I lost like five pounds within a couple days.
Run and diet. Running burns fat, gives you endorphine that makes you feel good and become less hungry.
Run more than 1/2 hr before the fat gets burnt.
Run 45 mins 3 times a week, go on diet, and I can assure you can lose 2-3 inches by 2-3 weeks.
I dont know how "fast" you want to loose the weight, but the 6 wee body makeover is an amazing diet. And the people i helped with it ate what ever they wanted on 1 or 2 days a week. They both lost a lot of weight and fat pretty quickly, like i said it was AMAZING. Definitly worth a try if you have a few bucks to buy it and the food <things like tuna, grapefruit, and such> and like a couple of weeks. Good Luck.
BTW You need to eat more meals a day just smaller portions and the right stuff <that is what this diet teaches,> so fasting is not the solution, i dont believe. Anywho, Good Luck.
Skip breakfast and try to walk at least half a mile each day.
Of course do not eat any fast foods or Mexican food (Burritos), try eating Chicken or Fish which is far less fattening than red meats or trans fat soaked burgers.
Eat healthier and get exercise. It is easy to make excuses. It is hard to work past your excuses (I'm tired, don't have time, gotta go to bed soon, I snoozed too much in the morning.etc). Good old fasioned exercise and smart eating is the best way. It is a change of life that is best. Not just binging or any fad diets.
Increase protein for energy. Cut out the carbs and limit fat intake. Move a little bit during the day and you should see some results soon.
Listen up, please.
1. Eat salad, not something starchy or anything.
2. Drink water, not Coke, Pepsi, etc. sodas.
3. Be sure to eat some meat, or else you're going to become a nimic.
Beside the excise you should drink water it helps with loosing a couple of pounds and just walking helps alot and that guy was right six meals a day but smaller portions if you stick to it depending on your body you may see a change in a week or two

DO NOT GO ON A STARVATION DIET! you should maybe excersise and eat healthy like eat alot vegetable and fruits. if you want a snack do not eat candy or chips and stuff like that. eat something healthy. oh yeah and dont eat anything after 6 or 7 pm. its up to you.
