The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm
Get an online, desktop, or cell phone diet and fitness calculator. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html
It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier.

just keep in mind all those pics you see in the mags are touched up with air brush.......eat less...exercise more
they don't look good
why would u want to be a walking talking twig?
Good luck.
Diet and exercise!! go to a nutricionist and to the gym, get a personal trainer and than we talk!
RUN RUN RUN! RUUUUUUN!
Stop eating the twinkies!
get into pilates.
sorry kid, alof ot it is genetics.....you can lose weight (but you'll never grow that extra half a foot that they have on you). if you think youre fat, drop the twinkie and go for a run. you'll never lose weight if you just sit on the computer and look at pictures of skinny women.
Not every male wants a "super model look" in their woman.
I would say go to seventeen.com they have some really great work outs. I am doing one of the before school starts so I can look hot. Eat right also.
first of all, quit being so hard on yourself. Second of all losing weight is all about self control. Just remember that if you want to lose weight, you need to be expending more calories than your taking in everyday. For your height, you should only be eating like an 1800 calorie diet in the first place. If your eating more, then you'll need to do more physical activity. Do a cardio activity that is of interest to you and cut back on your serving sizes of food. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change.
Listen, I wont blow sunshine up ur **** b/c I wouldnt want itt done to me....but....ur 5'3 & 150 lbs? I'd love that. ur just the rite height & ur weight sounds like ur thick, & theres nothing sexier on a woman than curves, gives ur man something to hold on2!! As fas as Victoria Secret goes, U gotta hav something to put in all those great cloths, bras or under garmets they have!! U were made the way u were supposed to be made...Hell Im 5'1 & 145lbs. I love my shape!! U should work wut u got!!
The more money you make the better you look. So make money..with enough money i could make you look like who ever you want. Its all smoking mirrors. Not real if you see em when they get up in the mourning they don't look like that
You won't hear that from me!
But what i will tell you is to get like that will be a lot of self control and A LOT of work!
start working out every day for about 2 hours to start! Watch what you eat! DONT EAT BEFORE BED.
once you got that 2 hours a day in start working out 4 times a week for 3-4 hours up this if you want it will just make you skinner quicker!
now you have 2 choices DO IT or not and complain about it later on say it don't work! it does work but you need to have a lot of self disapline... if you go to the gym for 2 hours then work out for the full two hours don't go around looking for the exereize youw ant just do them all! and stick with it! or you'll never look like the VS models!
Good luck!
First of all, not all body types are the same, so you could weigh 98 lbs and not look anything like those models. Secondly, do you know what "airbrushing" is? They do this to all the photos...
I would suggest meeting with your physician to determine what your body type is and what your ideal weight would be. Once this is decided, your doctor can put you on an excercise and diet plan that will not only help you lose weight, but get overall more healthy, which is the most important thing.
You need work on your self esteem. Acceptance and love of ones self is the first step in making any changes to the skin that you are presently in. Believe me honey, you will never be completely satisfied in the way that you look, no matter how thin you get, but good luck with it anyway.
BTW, eating less is not necessarily good. You should eat at least every 4-5 hours, the important choice is what you eat. Eat lots of fruit and fresh veggies, stay away from bread. Drink lots of water and drink milk and eat eggs, good sources of protien.
stop the fast food and the sugar
excersise and a good diet,
For starters Just drink water soda has so much sugar in it! You will start loosing weight in about a week after drinking just water. (if you eat decent and excersise) Just walk arround your neighborhood a couple of times any bit of excersise is better than none to start off with.
Then you can join a gym or go to the ymca anc get a trainer to help you
First, start to excerise! then u need to start eating healthy instead of a of cheetoes get something that is baked! drink lots of water atleast enough vegetables and fruits! Sorry to break ur heart but any normal person it would be really hard to look like them unless ur rich!
Diet and exercise is the only thing that will really help you to lose weight and look great.
If you don't want to do boring ol' sit-ups and stuff, try going out dancing, playing billiards / darts, having hours of sex, bowling, putt-putt, just try to be active all the time.
Don't eat past a certain time either (try not to after like 7:30). Eat your biggest, fattiest meals at breakfast so you have all day to burn it off. Walking has really helps.
Exercise and diet is your best bet. Keep track of how many calories you eat and how many calories you burn. It should help!! Good luck!
omg i am the exact same way i am 145 and 5'3 ......i want to look like those models and what i am doin is helping tremendously! go on the south beach diet it is working for me it will work for you! do 50 situps in the mornin 100 at night it gets easy trust me.........wear a belt as a constant reminder of what you want to do and say your weight goal in your head...mine is 115 whenever anyone offers me cookies or ssomthin just say your weight goal in your head and say no! after about 2 weeks it will be easy to say no........ii can already see the difference and i have been on this diet for only a little while try it i want to help!
Unless we have a personal trainer and nutrionist to help, it can take a long time. However, being an ex model you do have to literally starve yourself and that is not healthy. There were so many times I almost fainted from lack of food. Then we would have to weigh in all the time. Believe me, the models you want to be are not what they appear as tv adds weight as well. The super skinny is not in. be healthy and excercise and eat right and you will be just fine. Might want to invest in a personal trainer at a gym to get the look you want, but I suggest not the model look that you think is real. Thanks for bringing this topic up, glad I could help. Been there done that and know what you mean!.
If you want to lose weight, then I suggest living healthy. I know it sounds like something a yoga guru would say, but it is true. The reason you lose weight on fad diets is because no matter what you are eating, you are eating less than the day before.
So, I would suggest easting smaller portions, but you should have about 5-6 meals a day. Make these meals healthy. You can have McDonald's or other fast food, but try to limit it to once a week or once every two weeks (ideally never).
Try eating things that you enjoy but know are healthy like carrots with ranch, yogurt with granola, etc. Food doesn't have to be disgusting to help you lose wight.
Try to lay off of fried food also; you can eat chicken, steak, etc., but don't eat it fired and resist the potatoes with gravy. It is all about compromise, and I would like to point out that although you will lose weight, you shouldn't hold yourself to Heidi Klum or Giselle Bundchen standards (they have enough money for personal chefs and trainers).
Just try to eat healthier, and make sure to exercise. Eating right is only half of the battle. Try going for a run in the early morning or walking around your neighborhood while the sun is setting (make sure to have your cell phone, another person, water, and music with you).
go to a gym its the only way you will lose weight and get toned, and Victoria secret models don't always look that good they wear make-up on their legs a natural shade all over then a lighter shade down the front of the leg giving a slimmer appearance it takes them ages getting ready to prepare for the catwalk and their pictures get airbrushed before they go into the catalog, so unless you have 24 hour access to a make up artist you will never look as good as that, but if you go to a gym and spend time looking after your body you can still look good
First of all, work on your body image! Stop saying that you "hate" your body! Because why should you work at anything you "hate". And try to start this before you start working on your body! Work on your mind first!, Your thought process! Think positively about yourself! Speak to yourself, about yourself with RESPECT and BELIEF! and I PROMISE you the body part will work itself out!
well i will tell you what works for me. walking, walking and more walking and a sensible diet. I walk 3 miles to work every day and go for a 6 mile walk sometimes more at weekends. not only does it keep you fit it burns off the calories too. I'm 56 years old and im actually in better shape now than i was when i was 26. eat a sensible diet. you dont have to count calories. you KNOW what makes you fat. so ditch the french fries, the cookies and cakes and chocolate and all fattening dairy products eat more fruit and vegetables drink lots of water before a meal to fill your stomache that way you will want to eat less and i guarantee the weight will drop of fairly quickly. i cant guarantee you will look like a Victorias Secrets model but you will look good and if you look good you will feel good. Its all about getting your self esteem back and being happy with who you are and it sounds like you are at an all time low and very critical of yourself. I am very good on "sayings" lol and there is a saying that says "never put yourself down, there is always someone else willing to do it for you" and that is very true.
Stop thinking negatively. While you are walking and eating sensibly and losing weight make the most of all your good points. wear nice colours, do your hair and wear some nice make up. put some pretty nail polish on your nails. But most of all wear a smile and hold your head up and walk tall. Be proud of who you are. It would be a dull boring old world anyway if we were all the same. good luck i hope u succeed in your goal.
You seem to be talking about a spot reduction; unfortunately, it is a persistent myth. The only way to lose weight in your problem areas is to lose weight overall.
When you see supermodels, in your case Victoria's secret models, their "perfect" bodies are not the result of a weight loss or some secret workout, rather it is a matter of genetics and some creative Photoshop work.

Dancing reggaeton the whole night baby! Honest, it keeps my *** sweating and you don't even realize you are making exercise. I am 5'2 and 130 something. I hate my body too. I wish I could look like madonna. You know her body. It is very toned.
First off you need to learn to love yourself no matter what you think you look like. Now as for some of these models. Listen to this I have dated several models and I assure you you don't want to look like that some of those models weight less then 65 pounds, I have never met or seen or have met an model that weighed over a hundred pounds. Again please don't do that to your body. I have also seen some of these models fall down on a thick carpeted floor and break their leg and ribs and arms. and the only reason they look good on camera is because the camera also add weight, as much as 50 pounds in some cases. Again think before you act. then ask yourself this question why are so many of them are whacked in the head. why? you ask its because nothing is free and there is a price you have to pay to look like that. And the drugs, whew lets not even go there. There is an old saying be-careful of what you ask for because you just might get it................
