when can i eat protein?

when can i eat prptein such as peanut butter? Before the workout? or after the workout?

man ur giving just the wrong example of protien penut butter is a hell of a fat and has no protein compared to otha food like tuna chicken meet soybeans ..... and u have to protein all the time espitially after exerise

protein is essential both before and after a work out to help build muscle. have a quick snack to include fruit, carbs, and protein before your workout to make sure you have energy to work out. then, an hour or two after the workout, have a meal or another small snack.
either way, but i'd suggest a whey protein supplement, i take six star advanced whey protein, 20 grams per serving, i take 2 servings twice a day.
