any one know how to get motivated lose weight?

Question:
not very over weight but i have high colestorol an need to get it down an have no motivation

Answers:
Wow, I had a hard time getting myself motivated too. I bought a book called "Body for Life" by Bill Phillips. I had been trying to get motivated for a long time. I never had time, and I never had the energy. When I first started reading the book, I got more motivation from it than I had ever had. But when it comes right down to it, the motivation to get started just has to come from deep down in you. No matter what people tell you, no matter what you read in books or watch on TV, you're just not going to get enough outside motivation to get started. But after reading the beginning of that book, I did get alot from it. It tells you all kinds of stories about people, and there's at least one for everyone to relate to. Anyway, the way I finally got motivated was to just get up early one morning, and sit outside on the driveway for about 20 minutes and thought about all the reasons I wanted to lose weight and all the benefits I would soon get from it. After that I just got up and started running, and I ran until I just couldn't take it anymore. After that morning, I had no problems getting up and exercising. Although, now, I know to stretch before I exercise...haha.

Hi Twiggy!

The motivation really needs to come from you. However, the encouragement can come from us. I would check out our website. It is currently free, but is growing very rapidly. I wouldn't wait too long. We check in with our clients periodically to encourage them to keep going and to advise them if they have questions along the way.

I believe this answers your question, but if not let me know.

Good luck with your diet and fitness goals!

Hi
I know what you mean ,this plan should help you because it sure did help me so here goes,

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

Goodluck
A good place to start is probably by writing down what YOU think the benefits are to lose weight. This will provide you with some perspective and a clearer view of your goals. Then for each benefit, write down one way to get it, e.g. if your benefit is burn fat then beside it simply write something like go for an hour's brisk walk. It may not seem like much, but the fact that you aren't motivated is simply your mind making too big a deal of the effort involved in attaining your goal. By writing things down, things seem more do-able. Also, taking walks is an excellent way to start things, as it's not very intensive so it doesn't put you off exercising but at the same time the physical results are quite remarkable. Just remember one thing, there's no 100% easy method when it comes to losing weight. You still need to make a small amount of effort such as making the commitment to go for those walks, even if its just 30mins instead of an hour, but once you've got the ball rolling it just gets easier and easier, and you'll love it and yourself for it!

Hope this helps, Good luck!
