does working out make you crave sugar?
Question:
Answers:
I heard somewhere that you should eat something with potassium in it after you work out. You should try eating bananas after you work out. Not only are they sweet, but it has the potassium that your body needs after being worked out. Supposedly, it's to keep you from getting ravenously hungry after workouts. Hopefully, it'll help you.

NO, I DON'T CRAVE SUGAR WHEN I WORK OUT,,, I BECOME MORE THIRSTIER
Yes, that's very common. Working out makes you crave food in general, and if you don't eat before you work out you'll be starving afterwards. Drink protein shakes every day and eat plenty of food. You simply have to eat more so that you won't be hungry, because you're burning energy so quickly. Make sure you eat healthful foods, such as chicken, fish, beans, etc. Your sugar craving will be gone if you're full.
Your workouts are simply causing your metabolism to increase. I wonder if you may just attribute a metabolic increase, with a sub level craving for sugar.
If you really do have a massive craving for sugars, keep it healthy. Try to shift that desire toward apples or a banana each day. Remember, that its the small and simple changes that really get you healthy and into shape.
since you burning all those carbs so your body tend to crave for it back. why don't you just snack on fruits instead of sweet, it will also help you maintain a healthy appetite and weight. i don't think that your body is asking for sweet but somethings to replace what you burn off.
Eat a healthy snack before you work out, like fruits and vegetables, then after working out try eating a healthy meal after.
