What is it with weight?

Question:
Skiny people want to gain weight and "fat' over weight people want to loose weight. Why is that? Why cant people be happy with the weight they have? Every time I turn around there is either someone want to gain weight or someone who wants to loose weight. Why cant people just be happy with the body that they live with?

Can anyone please help me with this confusing thought

Answers:
We are all striving for perfection because of all the tv ads, the magazines showing perfect women. Men make up feel we have to be perfect also. They check out the perfect ones, not the anorexic or heavy ones. It is all because of our culture. We should accept ourselves for who we are and if no one likes us, they aren't worth knowing.

Other Answers:
They can't except themselves for who they are.

not a confusing thought just a very true thought! i guess people need something to complain about and weight has been the thing for the 2000's.
Plus if you watch tv at all it is all the craze, what cities have the fatest people and what ones are the healthest people.
try to start a new craze like your hair being long

mass media -- On the morning news, they tell us that we are sooo fat that we sweat oil. In the evenings they show us pictures of celebs who look like they were left in Ethiopia for 6 months and how these images are distorting young and old girls view of themselves.

And we as logical, intelligent citizens get confused and run around all day trying to lose and gain weight when we should just be happy with ourselve and thankful that we have food to eat and the ability to exercise. "fat" people just want to be healthy and feel good about themselves. as far as the "skinny" people it's concern i don't have a clue. sometimes i think that they are just trying to make fun of the "fat" people.

I hate it when skinny people complain that they have gaining a few pounds and winy about it in front of a fat person.
