Im in college as well and i know its difficult when you have hardly any money or time to buy and prepare healthy meals.
make sure you get enough fruits and vegetables as well as protiens. i know my college has a gym thats free when you show them your student card. check to see if your school has that too. if so, thats great, if not you can still run or jog around campus. just make sure you design a plan and stick to it. i started this the first week of school and i not only look but FEEL great.
also, if you drink, keep it within a reasonable amount. if youre hung over every morning it's going to be extra hard to motivate yourself to go for that morning of afternoon run. not like im speaking from experience... hehe

Yes, go to the prevention magazine website. Lay off some starches, (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes) get some walking done, dont go for any fad stuff, drink more water, cut down on your portions and stay away from places like Micky D's. Good luck

You are smart to consider the proper weight loss for you. Your doctor is your best bet. But if you are like me and when I lose weight it is to be thin, not medium built and doctors arent for that.
Try the atkins diet. It fills you with protiens and keeps you healthy with amaizing results. Also type BMI in your search engine. The internet is full of free BMI counters. This will let you know if your ideal goal is healthy. GOOD LUCK!!
