Will I lose my muscles?

Question:
I work out 2-3 times a week, and I have a part time job doing lots of heavy lifting and carrying in a supermarket, again 2 - 3 times a week.

Between the two 'workouts', I've built up quite a bit of muscle.
However, I've handed my notice in, and will soon only be doing the 'normal' workouts.

When you cut down on your 'training' like this, do you expect to lose muscle, or will you keep what you have, but just not build more muscle as quickly as you used to?

Answers:
You should be ok try doing extra half hour at the gym, dont go mad on kfc and do sit ups ect in the house!

Just hang on to your marbles.
Vain, or what.
dont worry mate you can get some more from down the fish market
you need to replace the yr daily routine with some more exercises. this article has some great programs that will help you out
depends what u call muscle?
It is doubtful that the weight you were carrying at the market was concentrated enough and heavy enough to qualify as weight lifting. It was probably just good exercise.

Muscle loss is due to insufficient diet and a negative Nitrogen balance. Take your weight in pounds, take that number and divide it by 3. That is the number of GRAMS of protein you need to eat each day to maintain your current muscle mass. If you eat that much protein, you will not lose muscle.

Good luck.

.
Unfortunatly yes !
its a case of less exercise = less muscles

However you can regain the 'loss' by doing a harder workout in the gym - this should ineffect counterbalance what you think you had lost from missing the supermarket.
For me as a muscle builder myself.... you muscles can stay with you as long as you eat right.

If I stopped my training as of now... I could keep my appearance by with high amounts of protein (and other nutrition stuff which I wont go on about....)

Keep to your workout and do just enough to work on those muscles. Also, give it plenty of time to repair itself.... with use of good foods ---- fish, chicken are examples.

Dont take this as proper information.... take it as guidance.

All the best
No, you will not lose any muscle, but just cut down on your diet because muscle turn into fat if you eat too much, since you're used to "2 workouts" a day
Hate to say this, but you will eventually. And you train two days a week.....................are u kiddin me! You might as well go on a binge fest. Cheer up, we both know your not cut out to be the next Mr Olympia, so the sooner you stop thinking about losing muscle, the better you'll feel. Vanity is so overated!
Continuing to train after you finish work will maintain your bodies fitness at the level you are at now, but to increase Muscle mass you will have to increase exercise levels and fuel intake, one is not possible without the other.
check out http://www.bodybuilding.com it is a great web site for anyone just starting or for experienced people who just want to add to their training program,
