Answers:
Hi! my name is namra..may be i can help u in ths..
u can increase ur metabolism by increase ur daily activity.by increasing ur activity means increase the requirement of energy.if there is increase in energy so the requirement of energy also increases..lets explain u frm here.
most of the doc n dietitian says tht to eat less food n increase the daily activity..the food provides energy when u dnt eat enough food so the energy which ur gettin frm food decreases n when u start doin exercises or increase ur daily activity the requirement increases as there is increase in metabolism tht is break down of other nutrient to full fill the requirement of energy.other nutrient like fat , proteins.this is called catabolism.so by reducing ur diet n by increasing daily activity there will be break down of fat for energy requirement.like tht u can reduce weight..till all the extra fat is used up.u hav to chk ur weight every month by ths u will noe hw much ur reducing weight every month.it is good if requirement of energy is fullfillin frm extra fat.be careful if u hav reduced ur weight more u do dieting n exercise there will be increase in metabolism thn the energy required will be fullfill frm proteins which will be dangerous..it means now ur undergoing malnourishment which is not good for health..
So like ths increased metabolim helps in weight reduction.

Well it probably isn't healthy to take any drugs that increase the speed of your metabolism, but your metabolism is all you body's processes including digestion. I guess if you have a faster metabolism, like me, you probably need to use more energy, and you therefore don't gain weight by storing energy, and may lose weight by using your stored energy. I don't know if that's right though.

Your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is a measure of physiological and biochemical activity keeping you alive. It is usually measured in terms of oxygen consumption since the oxygen you take in is used to respire glucose to provide energy to drive the metabolic processes. The BMR is sometimes called Resting Metabolic Rate because the measurement is made when you are not doing anything other than keeping alive.
Dietary influences upon metabolic rate are unimportant, but exercise dramatically increases the rate. You can't eat or not eat anything that has any significant effect upon metabolic rate (unless you starve - a bad idea).
Your metabolic rate is adjusted automatically in response to energy demand usually because of exercise/physical activity, so when you are exercising you breathe more heavily to supply more oxygen.
The only safe way to reduce body weight is to reduce the amount of energy-food (fat, starch & sugar) in a healthy, balanced diet. Exercise will contribute to weight loss (& have many other significant benefits) but it is eating less energy-food that is the most important.
