You sound like me, I did great for 3 weeks, lost 8 pounds and started bingeing! Your weight can fluxuate several pounds through the day, it doesn't mean you have put on 5 pounds of fat or real weight though. It's best to just not worry about it and get back on track (me too)

Weight flactuates periodically throughout the day. Perhaps you weighed yourself after you ate? Don't worry about that although if you have something unhealthy, cover it up with the next meal being healthy!

Its water weight from all the salt intake. I have lost 68 pounds in the last year and this happens to me when I eat fast food or really salty stuff. Chinese would be considered really salty. Drink your 8 glasses of water and continue the WW and it should come right back off. I also find when I plateau and I am working out just as hard I lay off excercise and for some reason that helps me lose more. Almost like my body needed that break...Go figure!GOOD LUCK!

I assume that you are getting on the scale daily. I don't think it is possible to gain five pounds in two days unless you ate an average of 8750 calories per day! Each pound of fat contains about 3500 calories. Most likely, you temporarily held some water weight. Also, your scale may fluctuate for whatever reason. I have tested my scale already and found that I may weight a pound difference in a matter of minutes! Also, you did not mention if it was near your time of the month. I found that I gain weight (about three to five pounds) around that time and take it off afterwards.

Muscle weighs more than fat, so don't be discouraged. It could also be what you were wearing when you got on the scale, shoes are about 5 lbs., and women gain 2- 5 lbs during their cycles.
