My boyfriend started a diet, should I do it with him?

Question:
He wants to lose a little bit of weight, and I honestly don't need to (his words were that I could stand to gain a couple pounds). Plus my job demands me to work long strenuous days. I want to support him, and I try, but it is hard for me to not eat/buy foods that he shouldn't eat. (He is doing the South Beach Diet.) What should I do?

Answers:
don't diet with him if you really don't need to. if he's exercising too then you should do that with him because everyone needs exercise. for the beginning of his diet, until he gains some willpower, it would be better if you don't eat tempting foods in front of him

Other Answers:
yes do give him support

umm why would u go on a diet if u dont need to? be on the diet when you are with him at least
thats a start, he will like that

giving him support doesnt mean that u have to do it with him. you can support him by eg. buying him healthy food, not tempting him by eating junk food in front of him. Don't do it if you don't want to and because you don't think you need to. You can still enjoy the foods that you like to eat. If he has the willpower to not eat the same foods as you and doesn't mind you eating them infront of him, then go for it.

Just eat healthy foods. Healthy foods don't just come in convenient microwave boxes. And extra exercise won't hurt anybody.
