You are currently near the top of the healthy weight range for your height, which means you may be at risk for becoming overweight. But if you're still growing and you add another inch or two, then that won't necessarily be a problem.
Losing five pounds sounds doable. Just cut back on the junk food and sodas (I know, that's hard for teenagers but it's worth it to your health) and work a little more exercise into your life. You'll be glad you did.

Being 5'9 .. you're at about the normal weight. I'm 5'8 and average weight for my height is 155 . so I think you're right at the average weight. Also don't feel you need to lose weight, sometimes . it can cause depression.
i think that is up to you. you are pretty tall so 165 lbs wont look the same on you as it would a girl who was say 5'3.
I am 5'9" too and 165 is within your normal range.which is 140-170 lbs. Also you are still youg and may fluctuate 10 lbs very easily without trying so dont think your overweight or too fat for this or that. Be proud of your height and dont think you have to be size 5,7 or 9 to be "normal".
