whats a good way to limit what you eat so you eat less?
Question:
Answers:
eat slower and chew longer so it'll make your mind think you are eating more
Other Answers:
Drink 2 full glasses of water 10 minutes before each meal.
Portion control.Eat slower, and smaller portions and it will show you that your brain will catch up to your shovling mouth..-winks-
eat what you crave in small portions.eat several Small meals a day
If you work towards eating a small meal every 3 to 4 hours you will keep your metabolism working for you and not need to eat until your stuffed.
You need to eat slowly and try to enjoy the flavor/texture/smell of the food. Your stomach takes like 20 minutes to send the message to your brain that you are full, so you can really overstuff.
Stare at a naked photo of yourself while you eat..jk
dinrk s lots of water and try to have some will power. I have the same problem.
find things that will help you get full. Like drinking a lot of water, or eating stuff like cuccumbers that are full of water and no calories. best of luck
You should make sure you are not eating things that can kind of . . never run out, you know what I mean? Don't eat chips from a bag, or a bucket of popcorn. Take only what you know you should eat or what should do its fill. Otherwise it's easy to just mindlessly keep going and chomping on food just because it's there. It's like when you go to a restaurant and they give you chips. You eat the first basket but they give you another basket and even though you're full of chips, you grab another one.
Also, make sure you are focusing just on eating when you eat. Don't watch T.V. or get on the computer. These things will distract your focus from the food and again, you will mindlessly have eaten too much.
fix only 1 portion of everything if you are single.
if have family fix just enough for everyone to have 1 portion. this saves on groceries and everyone benefits in a healthier diet
Chew each bite, even soft stuff like mashed potatoes and pudding forty times before swallowing. This does two things.
firstly, your get full point gets reached faster.
And secondly Your jaw gets so tired of chewing that you lose your appetite sooner.
Drink LOTS and LOTS of water.
Have you tried incorporating fruits and veggies into your diet? These help by providing important vitamins and minerals. Plus, they are a great way to help you get fulled without getting to many calories.
Another thing you can do is add more water in your diet. This would include drinking water, tea, coffee, and even broth based soups. I have read many articles that said that water is a great way to help you feel fuller, again without adding lots of calories.
Hope it helps and good luck!!
