How do you feel about diet pills like Trimspa?

Question:

Answers:
i like the fact it burns off fat very fast but i read on the box you have to take it with LOTS of water because if the pills dont go all the way down andget lodged in your throat they expand and can choke you to death

Other Answers:
Unseen troubles (with your heart and liver), unnecessary solution (good hard work and sweat is better) and unkept promises (more hype than results). I used it about 8 years ago to no effect. Now, I "move more" and "eat less." Beautiful results guaranteed. Just my opinion.
i do not think diet pills work, i think you have to work out and eat healthy to lose weight
You are diffently wasting your money. They don't work. Anna Nicole got paid a lot of money to say that it works but it does not go buy your self a book on eating right instead.
They are absolutley rediculus. American marketting to the desperate. Anna used cocain (and still does) - not Trimspa

I don't believe in "magic pills" to lose weight called diet pills because it is so unnatural to lose weight and who knows what these "diet pills" are doing to a person? The best way to lose weight is to exercise, eat healthy and right-sized proportion meals, drink plenty of water, and be EXTREMELY patient with the outcome!
I don't think they work either. If they worked, everyone would be skinny b/c it would take no effort.
Work out, eat smart, and have a good routine for yourself, and you'll loose the weight. Don't completely give up on the foods you love, just cut back and add in the fruits and veggies and you'll start to see a difference.
Pills are TERRIBLE! Just go natural with diet and exercise. With can mess up your body and you can become dependent on them!
These drugs are totally unhealthy. I've heard of people dying from taking to often in the 90's.
A few pills, especially the newer prescription varieties (such as Meridia and Xenical), have been shown in clinical studies to help dieters shed a few pounds. But the majority of the ads you see on the Internet and TV are for products that are unregulated, untested and unproven.

Even the most effective diet pills are only meant to be taken for a short period of time -- usually six months or less. During that time, doctor-prescribed weight-loss drugs can trim anywhere from 5 to 22 pounds, or up to 10 percent of your body weight. But after six months, your body develops a tolerance to these drugs' effects, and weight loss plateaus. After that, if you don't also follow a healthy eating and exercise plan, the weight will come right back.

Trimspa concerns and side effects
Trimspa is expensive. If you take the recommended dose of 6 pills a day, one bottle will last a measly 10 days. The suggested retail price of a bottle of Trimspa is $39.95, which adds up to $120 per month.

Trimspa contains too much chromium. Each tablet of Trimspa contains 75 mcg of chromium. If you take the full daily dose of 6 pills, you'll be getting a total of 450 mcg of chromium per day. This amount is unecessary and exceeds the recommended safe dose. In addition to the chromium people get in Trimspa, many multivitamins contain chromium, which can bring the total amount of chromium up to 650 mcg per day.

Trimspa can make people have anxiety and insomnia. Most people's cravings occur in the late afternoon and evening, however taking Trimspa in the late afternoon and evening may be too stimulating for some people and can cause insomnia, anxiety, palpitations, and restlessness. Each pill contains 125 mg of green tea extract. The full daily dose provides 750 mg green tea extract and 300 mg of caffeine, which is roughly equivalent to three 8-oz cups of coffee. The cocoa extract is also stimulating.

The arthritis supplement glucosamine in Trimspa? Trimspa says that glucosamine prolongs the amount of time blood sugar stays within the bloodstream after eating. So let me get this straight - glucosamine can increase blood sugar levels and worsen glucose tolerance and this is good for weight loss? I don't think so. Read my article on glucosamine and insulin.

Trimspa may trigger migraines. The cocoa extract in Trimspa contains tyramine, which can trigger migraines in susceptible people.

Trimspa shouldn't be taken with MAOI antidepressant drugs. MAOI drugs include Nardil, Parnate, Eldepryl, and Marplan. These drugs react with foods containing tyramine, such as cocoa, and may cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure, as well as headache, nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, possible confusion, psychotic symptoms, seizures, stroke and coma when combined with MAOI antidepressants.

Trimspa contains food dyes and additives. Trimspa contains the food dyes FD&C Red #40, and Aluminum lake (blue dye) and other additives. This isn't specific to Trimpsa - food dyes and additives are found in many prescription drugs and foods. I recommend avoiding them.
