what kind of energy bar will give you the most energy without all the fat and sugar?also energy drinks?


Question:
I'm going on a hike for the first time, im overweight and think it would be good excercise for me.

What should i take for a boost of energy that wont be too many calories and fat and sugar for me to work off?

What about water? is it better to just take water, or should i take Propel or Gatorade? (electrolytes?)

it would help if it was tastey, but i suppose i can bear it if its not...

also, i hate granola, so only as a last resort...

Drink water regularly, then a suger free red bull 20 minutes before your hike,(8 cal. and lots of energy) then drink a protien shake after the hike for muscle recovery.

energy drink is V8 :) has salt what is not so good but i have not met better drink on market.

from energy bars i eat snickers. but i would say it has a lot of cals. so on bar i can not help you as i never had overweight problem.
Try natural foods these things arnt good for health read some articles on diets
