Protein Shakes?
Question:
Answers:
Whether they work or not is really dependent on your specific body, so nobody will be able to tell you for sure if it will be a waste of money for you or not.
Now, for the taste part. This is what I do; I have 'Designer Whey' brand protein shake powder in Strawberry. It's pretty low calorie, has only 2g of sugar and 18g of protein. I take a pint glass and fill it 1/2 way with crushed ice then put it in the blender. Then I add a banana and 3-4 strawberries and 1/2 a cup of raspberry or orange sorbet (sherbet). I blend all that up well THEN add the protein powder to mix in it. If you add the powder in to mix it to well it will make it really frothy (yuck). Tastes REALLY good the way I make it.
I would talk to some one at GNC or where ever they sell health stuff for more info.
Good luck! :)

If you go to like, Tropical smoothie and get one of their protein shakes, they're yummy!! I love em. They're not a complete waste of money either.
The chocolate powder in skim milk is alright. I can't drink the canned ones. Too slimy somehow..yukk. You can do just fine without them. I drink one a day (11 $ Walmart brand, 30 servings), but it's not a necessity.
It depends on your metabolism. Some people have fast metabolism and burn up calories fast. Even diets supplemented with protein shakes would not make any different.
There are many varieties of protein shakes and taste. They are mostly taste not bad if you are going to drink them with water or milk.
Protein shake works wonder if you are in a diet and don't want to loose any muscles or in a training and building some muscle.
