How do I gain weight? Ive tried weight gainers and such but im 27 and weigh 124 at 5ft 11.?

Ive done the gym thing regularly, im a former marine so i know about working out and eating the right protiens and carbs but I cant seem to gain any ground. I always see pills for diets but what about a pill to slow my metabolism down so I keep the things im eating verses using it all up. Ive heard that I could have an OVER active thyroid but again how can I get help. Ive seen 2 doctors and they said that Im healthy but Im a walking bean pole. Is there anything I can do or take without steroids?

eat lots of grain.. i have that same problem in 8th grade and weigh 95 pounds. but i'm short i have a 28 inch waist line. i am very small but i don't care i work out a lot and eats LOTS of grains..
Man your should be happy that you can eat whatever you want. But if you really want to gain weight, load up your meal with carb (rice, bean, potato, etc.). In my case, it would give me 2-5 lbs in about 2-3 week.
see a nutritionist.and eat a lot of carbs
duh eat lots of junk food for a while when you gain weight you can go back to your regular diet and you will keep alot of the weight .. if you do eat alot of junk food though stay active and brush your teeth and stuff
Have you tried "boost" or supplement drinks similar to it? They give your body more protein and calories than a normal meal would and are used sometimes in helping cancer patients and such regain weight.good luck.

Gawd jk.just give thanks often. Im always on a diet, even if I smell food, Im gaining..hey..let me do it for ya!! Its what i do best.
Try eating a baked potato with butter on it everyday.
Eat ice cream everyday. Eat potato chips everyday.
drink milk shakes, eat bread,biscuits,toast&jelly, french fries, regular cottage cheese, pizza, beef sandwiches, grill cheese sandwiches, drink alot of pop like pepse-coke etc., candy bars, milk, rice, mac&cheese, shrimp,cakes.
If your doctors haven't satisfied you, you could try specialists at a medical center in your area. A nutritionist as suggested by Trisha 84 could help as doctors often aren't very nutrition savvy. Or perhaps learning to meditate and do some yoga to slow yourself down might make a difference. I found that age will catch up to you and "help" with that "problem".
Are your parents thin? If you fix your weight will you be perfect then? Work on others things about yourself you want to change and give the weight thing a break from your worrying about it. Eat your good food and enjoy good health. Please don't take steroids.
If your really concerned and worried about your weight. Have two tests done. Both are simple blood tests. One is for the thyroid called Hyperthyroid, the other is for diabetes. When a body has a problem finding it's own balance like it's designed to do.. Then you have to look harder. Loading up on extra foods and food types may be the worse thing you can do at this time. Steroids will shrink your balls and raise your voice and ruin your skin and make you unpredictable. Just what you don't want! Best answer. keep beating on Dr's doors till someone will listen to you. You're right. Your underweight for your sex, height and age.
