Answers:
I agree, it is true, there are so many people that I deal with on a regular basis that have weight problems but never mention wanting to do something about it. They will make compliments to others and say how they wish they could fit in a size 4 or say only one leg could fit in your pants. I know the type. Yes, we should really help our love ones, by creating family activities that keep them moving. Let's not name call, because I am sure they know that they are at an uncomfortable size.

Other Answers:
Starving oneself is no solution for controlling obesity. Exercises and moderate eating is the mantra for weigh loss. I suggest yoga for those who are serious about losing weight. There should be a change in life style and a right attitude to life, to bring down weight. We must put faith on doing things manually. Eat, when hungry and eat only to survive.
It must be nice to be so kind to people of all walks of life!
Weight loss is not as easy as you may think, have you ever been over weight? Have you ever had anyone tease you because of your weight? Have you ever had a medical problem that causes the weight? I'm guessing not or you wouldn't be so ready to judge another human being.
Some people have more than the issue of the weight behind their complaints. Are you really that shallow to believe that it's just because they are lazy?
Yes, exercise will give you some advantages to some of the diseases you listed, however it is a proven fact that most of those that you listed are also family line issues.
I do believe you are being too broad when you speak of everyone.
The biggest thing that happened to all of us was the TV and the lack of trust in our neighborhoods. Our kids don't go out to play, we are so busy we never take the family pet for a walk, we have too many things to do to go play a game of baseball, tennis or basketball. We can't find time to ride our bikes, we drive to the grocery even if it's only a block away...We are a consuming society and that includes our food..We also have too many fast food places and less time to cook...we are busy, and some are too busy.
But not everyone is in control of their weight...I've learned over the years never to judge anyone as it will come back to you in some way.
What the hell is wrong with you?
There is no such thing as weight loss miracle. How many years have we been accumulating those fats? And you expect to lose weight in a few days? You've got to be kidding me! The key to successful weight loss is DETERMINATION and PATIENCE. A person's average weight loss is 2.2 pounds a week, so you have to be patient and take your weight loss program RELIGIOUSLY. In weight loss your fat melts and your muscles develop. Muscle weighs heavier than fat, so don't weigh yourself everyday. You will just be disappointed thinking that it's not working. Instead, measure your waist before you get into the program and after a month measure again. You will probably be surprised if your skirts or pants will need adjusting. I used to weigh 135lbs and I lost 25lbs in 3 month's time. And I have maintained my weight eversince because I began to be aware of my health and watch what I'm eating.

There are also factors why people do not lose weight: genetic factors, environmental, psychological like depression & anxiety, or it could be illnesses such as hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome, food sensitivity, organ disease, prescription drug use, blood sugar imbalance, essential fatty acid deficiency and certain neurological problems that can lead to overeating.

Certain drugs such as steroids and antidepressants may cause excessive weight gain.

Every person is different. One weight loss program for me may not work for you or a member of your family. We have to understand the root cause of weight gain of an individual first before getting a program for her.
