chew gum

or stay busy
drink more water, or flavored water, chew gum, and keep busy. it's ok to pop a little thing in your mouth. it just depends on what it is. try keeping veggies around so you can munch those!
You need to eat something every three hours while awake- provided you eat reasonably, your body needs to be refueled in that amount of time.

If you feel the need for something in between, chew gum or suck on sugar free mints or sugarfree candy, or better yet- a Halls cough drop. Those leave such a nasty aftertaste that you don't want to eat anything until it goes away.
ive always heard you should eat 6 small meals a day. if you get the munchies, try something healthy instead of junk food. that has helped me in the past.
Its actually better for you to eat smaller portions of food several times a day than larger potions only a few times. As for craving something in your mouth i have found instead of grazing on snacks you can try suckers, or jolly ranchers, or even popcorn. I know people that have even used sunflower seeds to quit smoking.
Staple your mouth shut, moron.
