I'm on the atkins induction period, i haven't lost weight. What's going on?

Question:
I cheated about 3 times by about 6 carbs.

Answers:
About 6 carbs shouldn't be making a difference.

You don't say how long you've been doing it or what your starting weight is.

You might be retaining water right now (is it about "that time"?)

Have you been eating something with lots of sodium?

Have you been measuring yourself? Sometimes we lose inches instead of weight.

If you only have a small amount to lose, it might not be noticeable at first.

This forum is a good source of information. If you go to the Newbies section and ask your question and post a sample menu of what you're eating they should be able to help you.

Good luck!

Get off that diet. It's unhealthy and you obviously cannot stick to it. Complex carbs are your friend!
Hi there!

I think you answered your own questions. If you ingest carbs during the process you stop the movement to ketosis, which means, you aren't successfully doing the diet.

You either need to do it to the letter or find another diet.
Personally, i recommend a more healthful diet of eating 1500 calories a day or below and staying active. This is doable in the real world.

Good luck!

You might think about trying The Movie Star Diet. I lost over fifty pounds with it, and got down well below what I had set as my original target weight. You can't get it right away, as they're only accepting preorders for the new edition, but it's well worth the price (which is a measly $5.99, less than you'll pay for almost any other diet book). It takes you through a very direct and simple (if challenging) diet plan step by step and gives you an amazing workout plan as well. I have tried tons of other diets and workout plans, and never found anything that worked like this.
