5 or 6 small meals per day.... keeps the metabolism up....
3 well balanced- go to usda/foodpyamid.com answer afew questions and print a custom pyramid for you.
3 big meals or 6 tiny meals if ur on a diet
6 small portions
5, according to latest research...Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner; no later than 7pm, if you go to bed at 11pm.
You generally eat 3 by popular standards. However, for a better diet, it is best to eat frequently but only a little. Snacking helps your digestion work constantly and less troubled.
breakfast, lunch and dinner
and if u want a snack at night...

i usually skip breakfast and lunch and only eat dinner everyday
then i munch at night...he he he...=)
Some say 3, others say 5 small meals a day! I just eat all day.... ummmmm food!
3
Three normal sized or five to six small. It depends on what type of person you are. Which one appeals to you more? Pick that one.
Basically, I was told two times daily. Breakfast should never be skipped but lunch can be. Dinner be moderate, coz the body tends to digest slowly at night.
to bulk up 4, lots of protiens good carbs and water (lots )
experts say that its better to eat small meals every 3 hrs through out the day, instead of 3 large ones, because this will speed up your metabolism.
However many you need-- personally I eat 5 or 6 smaller meals if possible. That way I'm not starving by the time a big meal comes along, that can cause you to overeat and tricks your body into storing more fat since it thinks it's being starved. 5 or 6 smaller meals keeps your energy up, too!
Technically you're suppose to eat 6 times a day. A balance breakfast, something eat a few hours later (small snack) then a small healthy lunch, another small snack later, then a balanced dinner and then something around 8ish but it has to be really small.

Eating like that keep your metabolism.
most people go with 15.083 meals per day
several small healthy meals are better than 3 major ones. also, its best for your metabolism if you eat at least a small something when you first get up. shows your body that you arent staving it, otherwise your metabolism will be slower. drink LOTS of water, with at least a drop of real lemon juice in it (its healthy and will keep you from retaining the water). also dont eat past 6pm (or 3 hours before you go to bed.) these small changes can make a BIG difference.
i hate that rule that "you must eat this many meals and you must eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, bla bla". its so annoying. i eat whenever i feel like it and whatever i want. mostly veggies and fruits though...and im a healthy a** girl!
Will vary with the built and requirements of the person.

but an average person should have atleast 3 meals per day and breakfast being the most important and balanced one out of the three
since the tummy starts to get empty after 6 or 7 hours, i guess 3...but of course, you can vary your meals or diet, based on your appetite.
It is probably a good idea to have some basic things that keep your body fueled during the waking hours(unless you can eat while you sleep...(hmmm..... ;)
just listen to your body, I guess.
For people who are hypoglycemic....every two hours with protein or complex carbohydrates. Things like a chunk of cheese, nuts, yogurt for the time between ones 3 major meals.
your main meal is your breakfast, if you eat a good one, just ask your stomach>>>were not required to eat when were not hungry>
Some burn more calories a day than others.Just use your own judgment.
It depends on how you feel, how much you eat, and on your weight. Ballpark a healthy diet runs between 1500-2000 calories, and about 3 meals a day. Note that not all calories are the same, you should balance your meals with nutricious ingredients keeping sugar, salt and fat in check.
thrice a weak but its alrite if its 4-5 dats ok
We are suppose to eat as much and as often we need. And every person has different life style, and different needs. It is difficult to generalize people who is all day on move, or someone who sits all day in the office. One person is active, another not, someone has fast digestion, someone slow...and on. Everyone needs a personal diet, there is no right or wrong.

When you have food, wait till you are hungry, when you are hungry, wait till you have food. That's it.
