The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to gain weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Consume approximately 500 more calories then you're burning everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get an online, desktop, or cell phone diet and fitness calculator. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier.

Bread, cheese , butter & red meat. Don't go for junk foods.

just lift weights for now, don't try to gain, you'll bulk up on your own naturaly in next few years, you don't wanna regret gaining before.
Start lifting weights and stay away from junk food. Don't eat too much meat.
Why do you want to gain....? Regular soda's good, but don't drink overexcessivly because you'll get sick (lots of calories, fills you up), eat anything you're partly allergic too becuase that usually causes you to gain wait, lots of cake and high-cal ice cream..., pizza's good, dine-out all the time, and above all don't excersiese....
Any thing you can wrap your lips around!
You would need to weight train, eat a piece of fruit after right after lifting, and smaller protien meals through the day, with the protien meal drink a protien drink, this will help you bulk up.
Two words my friend, The Luther

It's a bacon cheeseburger served between two Krispy Kreme Donuts. If that doesn't put pounds on you nothing will.

First of, why do you want to gain weight? Maybe you are a little underweight but instead of gaining fat- gain muscle.

Maybe stop by the gym 3 times a week and eat protein foods such as meat.

Remember If you eat McDonalds or fast food everyday- you will gain fat but also it will clog your arteries and cause you having high cholesteral, high blood pressure and other health risks.

So If you want to live past 35 don't gain fat... gain muscle.

Good Luck! =)
macdonalds , takeaways, subways.. fatty foods.. such has a fry up.
what you should eat i'll tell you what you should alot stuff yourself every meal.
Lots of double cheeseburgers. I can eat 3 at a sitting. I was 160 and 6'2 last year, then I quit smoking and started eating more, then on top of that I added muscle (which weighs more) and now I'm 195. It's also important to eat somehwat healthy foods once in while too, like fruit and a good steak salad.
My brother is a fitness trainer and he suggests tuna, peanut butter, and other protein foods. These will help build muscle, which weighs more than fat, along with lifting weights.
Take it slow, you will gain the weight as you get older. But for now, stick to adding some snacks of healthy, caloricly dense foods.

Nuts
Peanut butter
Whole wheat
limited red meat
dried fruits are very dense
Whole milk
Add olive oil to your vegetables

Be sure to eat something right before you go to bed and as soon as you get up! I suggest you strength train 3-4x per week and add the calories gradually
youll find some really good tips on weight gain in this article that will help
You need to eat carbohydrates--pasta, chicken, steak. Things like that. Junk food doesn't help. It gives you a sudden burst of energy which you will quickly burn off and the weight will easily be lost. You should take protein shakes with every meal and eat amall healthy snacks in between. at least 6 meals a day should do you--three large and three snacks. Eat a healthy snack just before bed and make sure you drink milk and water instead of soda. This will help your build to be a muscular and healthy build that looks good for you. Good Luck.
i woudln't suggest eating fatty or sugary foods at all.. it soudns like you care for your health and feel your body is not as healthy as it coudl be... my suggestion woudl be to try eating larger portions or more frequent meals/snacks.... this will give you the added calories you need to gain the weight, but oyu on't wnat to jsut put ont the weight with fat.. try to build muscle, (muscle weighs mroe than fat) try some weights and eat lots of carbs and protein... carbs will help with energy levels because they are loaded with colories that stay wiht your body a longer period of time, and protein as you knwo aids in the build of muscle tissue. g/l!
