How do I reduce muscle soreness?
Question:
Answers:
Stretching would work ... Gentle stretching ... i am a fitness coach at Curves the womans fittness center and we ALWAYS have the ladies stretch ... and that seems to help them out.
here is what we say about Stretching at Curves :
Stretching
Stretching after exercise is vital for increasing flexibility, maintaining joint integrity and mobility, and preventing joint pain. If that's not enough, it also helps increase strength! Research conducted by Wescott and Loud has reported a 19% greater strength gain when stretching after strength training occurred.
tips:
Static stretching is safest-that means no bouncing.
Hold each stretch for a minimum of 15 seconds, increasing the stretch after 7 seconds.
Maintain proper alignment and breathing.

Other Answers:
green rubbing alcohol and motrin!
Hot soaking bathes and anti inflammatory agents such as Motrin,
drink lots of fluids, stretch, massage, pain killer, and "muscle rub cream" brand ointment (it works wonders)
Massage and Icy/Hot, but this will be temporary relief. You'll be sore again after practices until your body adjusts to the physical demands of your sport (after 2 weeks should be sufficient.)
Try deep heat or Ben Gay ointment. Try Motrin or get a prescription from the doctor like naproxen. Soak in the tub and if you have a pool just do some mild stretches or just relax and move the body slowly until the tension starts to go away. Looks like you over did it but good luck for making the team.
