Does your body have to use more energy when you're in a hot place?

Question:

Answers:
I'd say less. In cold places it takes more energy for your body to maintain itself at around 37 degrees celsius. Also, they say you burn a fraction more calories if you take your food cold because the body burns a certain amount in warming it up to body temp in your stomach. We also seem to eat more when it's cold.body's way of telling us it needs more energy to burn (I suppose as well as a thicker layer of adipose fat to counteract the cold).

Other Answers:
yes

Very little energy. This is part of your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) which will be affected only slightly by increase environmental tempertaure. You can't lose weight by sitting in a hot room. You need to eat right and exercise!
