Beats the heck out of me.a truly healthy diet includes good carbs anyway!!
gotta eat more meat, and fruit and vegies. And when I say more, I mean a lot more.
All carbs arn't bad. Stay away from processed food. bread, pasta, rice and potatoes and you'll be good.
It's extremely difficult. Even in the Atkins Diet, the classic "low carb" diet, you gradually increase your intake of carbs to some thing more "normal".
Why not take the best of what the Atkins Diet has to offer? Instead of starting out by knocking out all (or almost all) carbs, start by gradually reducing your carb intake until you cut out all you feel comfortable with. The easiest way to do this is to start eliminating the highest carb junk foods (candy, cake, cookies).
If you can live with that, you can cut back on other high-carb foods: eat less bread; switch from white flour to whole grain products; substitute plums and other tart fruits for bananas and grapes.
Just keep cutting back on the high-carb stuff until you've done as much as you can without truly depriving yourself. (You'll go crazy if you cut back everything at once.) I've found I cut back from 400 grams of carbs a day to less than 150, without much trauma.
well,I've been off and on a low carb diet for 2 months and have lost 22 lbs..but I have not been faithful to it...There is a site the Kimkins diet,it is low carb, but healthy! She has a site
www.kimkins.com you have to pay to get into it..but it's got alot of receipes and it motavates you...
You can never go strickly no carbs, but I try,,I think Kimkins allows you 20-30 carbs a day. if you had stuck with your diet after 5 days, you probably would have leveled out...it takes about 5-6 days to get use to it...But ladies on this Kimkins are losing like 10lb a week!seriously..and they have a boot camp, but I didn't find it healthy...
I eat 2 eggs(fixed anyway for breakfast)
maybe 2 turkey bacon or regular,or 2 sausage links
no bread
lunch I'll useually have a salad(chicken)ham and sometimes small meat with it..
dinner I'll have larger meat and veggies and or a salad..
you have to be inventive,I have a lot of low carb receipes I have formulated myself...tonite we had chicken picante' saute your chicken, with half a bottle of picante' chicken(I use pace)lol, and small amount of whipping cream, let simmer for 3 hours,,,delicious,,but cannot eat noodles,or rice with it..only that. Fresh veggies, salads(with not over 2 Tbsp.of dressing)pick out the lowest carb I use ranch.I eat any meat,sauted,boiled,fried(witho... flour)baked..etc..
Just don't eat anything breaded. No breads of anykind,I threw all that away..I make a soy pancakes,or crepes, and use a sm.amt.of sugarless smuckers syrup on them..can only have 2. look at that webstite it will inspire you..
count calories and exercize consistently... trust me it will work when you really want it to. good luck!
It is easy when you team it with lots of veggies.
And a headache to count calories, measure carbs and sugar for every meal.
Just eat only complex carbs, no processsed sugar, lean meat, and lots of veggies. It will make your meals low caloried and yet filling and healthy.
