How much body fat does it take to cover up abdominal muscles that would otherwise be noticeable?

Question:
Also, for how long and how many times a week/day should i work out to get abs and bi/triceps? when should i start seeing results?

Answers:
"Toning" or seeing muscle definition is all about your bodyfat levels. For abs, at about 10% you'll look pretty ripped.

Combine a PROPER diet with lifting, and you'll be ripped in a few months (depending on how much bodyfat you have now).

Eat raw foods:
Turkey and chicken breast
Salmon and tuna
Lots of veggies
Low fat / skim dairy (milk, cottage, string cheese)
small amounts of almonds and fruit

The only carbs you should eat are:
plain oatmeal
yams and sweet potatoes
and long grain brown rice

Eat 2-250 calories every 2.5-3 hours, with 20+grams of protein as the main part of the meal.

Cut out :
White flour
Sugar
fried foods / fats (chips, butter, mayo, etc.)

Eat like the above and you'll lose 15+ lbs of fat a month.
Have ONE cheat meal a week.
It's like 12% body fat on guys u start to see abs
First you have to schedule yor workouts, and yu REALLY need a personal trainer or a friend to do this. 12% fat and below you should see results
Around 12% abs will start to be visible... it may be below 12% but water retention can cover the abdomen... in that case watch sodium and sugar intake... work out 3-4 times a week... dont overtrain ur bis/tris you will be better off sticking to back/chest excercises and then 1-2 bi and tri excercises
