Should i start running?

Walking is a great workout! I think jogging is better tho, opposed to running, because you can keep at it for longer. Make sure u stretch before so you don't pull any muscles. Still, don't make that your only option... walking/jogging is best for leg toning, but if its stomach pounds you want to lose (or put some abs in!) do half sit-ups. But if ur in pretty good shape already, don't stress too much about it. Make time to work out but set boundaries and don't get too obsessed with it. Know your limits and push them only a bit each day. It's good to "feel the burn" but if you overdo it, you'll deffinetly feel it in the morning! Hope this helps!
Jugging
Tough on the joints.
Try cycling and/or swimming.
absolutely- running will put you in great shape and make you feel happy and confident.
speed walking helps burn the most calories
yes running is beneficial in soooo many ways!!
yes running is a great way to get in more shape and it helps to tone your legs amazingly! no to mention its good for your heart :]
yes you should
No. Start off by jogging first then work your way up to running... And say hi to Zack for me.
try it out and if it doesnt work for u try something else! :)
Its stressful on your joints to run, and can actually be bad for you.
If you have any way of getting to a gym, I would recommend going on an elliptical machine, and doing a lot of lower body strength training.
You'll see results immediately.
yea running would help but u should try some other exercises too like sit ups and push ups
If you want to tone up, swimming is actually the best option, since it puts less stress upon your bones compared the running and keeps you flexible.
I hear ya I also considered it ...but when i mentioned it to my doctor she said that Its hard on your knees but it was my choice....good luck with your decision!
i definitly would, runnings just about the best exercise you can do to burn fat. running works your legs, glutes, and abs...and you can't ever be in to good shape!!
Running is excellent! Any cardio exercise not only gets rid of those extra pounds but also is good for your heart, a great stress reliever, and ups that metabolism. If you want to tone, try doing sculpting exercises with weights that are suitable for you.
Yes, but you could also try a triatholon you know a swim, bike, and then a run.
Do you want to run?
If you enjoy walking, keep on walking.
I am the guru of walking!!
OK, maybe not.
Vary your walk routines.
Do intervals.walk at top speed for sixty seconds, go back to normal pace for two minutes, and repeat. Ten to fifteen time.
Do hill work.
Do speed work. Do quarter miles at about three quarter full speed, quarter mile at normal speed, repeat 6-10 times.
Do a longggggg walk once a week.
Three days a week, do thirty minutes of weight training after your walk.
Always follow your walks with about five minutes of ab work to help strengthen your core and back muscles.
The major disadvantage of running is the extra stress it puts on your joints.
It sounds like bodybuilding will work better. See site below under exercise to see why.
Running is very hard on your knees and feet. I suggest you avoid running. Join a good gym and use the Cardio machines like the walkers and bycicles etc.
A Personal Trainer would put you on the right track.
