Question:
Answers:
No, olive garden is OK if you stick to soup, salad, breadsticks, Don't eat the breadsticks, get the low fat Italian dressing, and eat Minestrone.
I have never been a fan of Olive Garden...why not Cici's.
Steak houses are pretty good. Go with a fillet and extra vegetables in lieu of the potato and you have a very tasty, very healthy meal. Also rock lobster is very low in calories so Red Lobster is not a bad choice.:) Send me your address and I will mail you a list of restrants recommended by Weight Watchers like Applebees.
never tried olive garden. though chilis it good!! :)
Okay for what? It's certainly not for taste or calories. Pasta is loaded with carbs and the less said about the marinara sauce at Olive Garden the better.
If you want something healthy, low in fat (which is what I'm assuming you want) and reasonably low cal you're going to need to make some sacrifices.
First off grilling is your friend provided they don't use a lot of oil when doing so. Then comes poaching, baking, sauteeing and finally frying at the end. The less fat you use in cooking the healthier it's going to be for you. Choose leaner meats like chicken, turkey & fish over fattier beef and pork.
The next thing is carbs = calories. While you need carbs to live, people simply eat too much of them. If you want pasta, take about 1/4 to 1/2 of what you would normally have and then use that as your starch for the meal but don't make it the meal in itself. Try to cut down on them but don't eliminate them completely.
Steamed veggies are much better for you than boiling them. Not only that but they look a lot better. If you can, ask for more veggies and less starch with your meal. Some places will allow you to do this.
