I just discovered gatorade, its great! but my mom says its bad for you?
Question:
Answers:
just drink it
well as far as teeth go its worse for you than soda
your kidding rite you just drank gatorade for the first time :0 well no its not bad for you suger maybe but uh its fine.. what is your mom talking about
It's really not any worse for you than any other lemonade or fruit juice. Except this stuff gives you more stamina which is great!
I wouldn't be concerned about it. Just drink it when you feel like it.
I dont let my kids drink it to much, but I think a cup a day would be ok for them..It isnt as good for you as water, but it helps replenish lost fluids.
It has WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to much sugar in it.,
it may be worse for your teeth than soda because it eats away on the enamel of your teeth...
but it IS a very good drinking substance that should be drunk when doing sports activities.
it helped the Florida Gators. it can certainly help you.
drink in moderation!
your mother is right as mothers always are
gatorade is great for an athlete who needs the electrolytes that gatorade has in it. if you are drinking it without any type of exercise then it is as bad for you as soda. it provides too many sugars that a regular body can't burn off.
I have heard from dentists too that it is bad for your teeth (cavity cause). I would just make sure to brush after to prevent the decay if you do like it so much. I mean I have been told from my childrens' pediatrician that when they are sick to give them that so I don't know how bad it could be besides your teeth. I do know you should not drink propel that has aspartame or the same stuff as it w/ a different name (sugar-free product).
Our family is now drinking vitamin water, that is good stuff and I bet your mom would agree if she checks it out.
i don't know what the above answerer meant of wering the teeth out. never heard of it. maybe they were speaking of tooth decay after having anything with sugar.
gatorade, powerade and generic brands of them have electrolytes and sats which keep the body salts and water intact better than water alone. but it is mostlyfor intense workouts.
i don't like the sugar and high fructose corn syrup in gatorade.
high fructose corn syrup is not good for u and also avoid fruit juices that contain high fructose corn syrup.
for light and moderate exercises, water is the best.
a serving of gatorade contains 60 calories and there are 2.5 servings in the bottle which makes it 150 calories per gatorade bottle.
a small cup i guess is ok before exercise, but water is better.
last but not the least. i don't know if gatorade is acidic.
but when u have something acidic like vinegar or wine, wait till 30 minutes to brush ur teeth or u will do ur enamel harm.
Gatorade is not bad for you! Your mother is not to smart if that is what she says! Ive heard that Gatorade is the most healthiest energy drink there is!!
Gatorade is better for you except for all of the sugar. powerade is MUCH better, and usually sheaper. it does not have as much sugar and has more antioxidants. and how could water be better than gatorade?? gatorade has water in it PLUS extra vitamins and minerals! and fyi, if you are REALLY exercising, a cup is not going to do ANY good!
Its good for athletes, but if you're not doing some sort of exercise then you'll start retaining water. Gatorade is meant to replenish the water you are losing while exercising.
U will feel the same way if u take a little glucose or a cube of sugar.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%.
Chew each morsel at least 32 times. Do not touch articles of food or the cutlery in between. This will activate ur body to generate strong signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.
