just remember that when you jog or run, that it isnt about how fast you run, (which many people dont know or rather dont believe) but instead how long you jog. So just jog for a longer period and do other cardio workouts because you need to get rid of the fat that is present there. Good luck.
Run faster than them. If they can't keep up you will lose them!
If I were you I would jog more and add a running routine as well. Love handles, large thighs or any other "thick" areas of your body will disappear only when your body fat percentage is low. Do not get discouraged and keep going, walls eventually move or break if you hit them enough times.
For example at 206lbs about 7 weeks ago, I could not see any definition lines on my body.
At 190lbs, I started to see a new line on my calf muscles.
At 185lbs, I started to see a sharper chest bone and shoulders and biceps
At 180lbs, I started to notice nice lines on my thighs.
Its all progressive.
