You should try to pick the healthy foods that your parents bring home. This is really important. If they don't necessarily bring home healthy "pickins" then have a good talk to your parents about your wanting to lose weight. You guys could even do a weight loss together as a family, if your parents need it also. I recommend the South Beach Diet, worked wonders for my parents.
Or, if you are REALLY set on losing some weight, join a sports thing.
Did you know walking burns a TON of calories? Since you hate running, take some time to just walk around your neighborhood or something. You can take an mp3 player, or talk on the phone, or cd player, or whatever, so you don't get bored. It helps people a LOT with their weight issues.

Eat smaller portions. Do exercises that don't require equipment like squats, crunches, push-ups, etc. Go outside & walk at a good pace for 20+ minutes. Force yourself to run, even just a short amount of time.
The first thing you need to do is go WITH your mother to the grocery store and put fresh fruits and veggies into the shopping cart. You can control some of what goes into the cart. Pick up healthy snacks like nuts and string cheese and yogurt. Next see if you can buy or get a copy of The Diet Book For Teenagers Only. Read it as it tells you everything you want and need to know then have your mother read it. For exercise try riding your bike, jumping rope, hula hoop, dancing to the radio or your fav CD. You can fill empty milk or juice containers with water, sand or rice to use for weights. If you house is a two story house or has a basement walk up and down the stairs briskly several times a day. Do you like to roller skate?? Go to your local roller rink with your friends. YOU CAN control some of the food that comes into the house if you go shopping with mom and you can exercise tons of ways if you just set your mind to it.
you can just play some football with your friends, eat less food,no snacks, you can just play sports outside, get some fresh air.
i know it sounds silly, but ride your bike or play a friendly sports game with your friends. excercise for atleast 30 min. a day, whether its situps, pushups, or weights. Many excercises can be done while watching t.v.(maybe during a commercial)
Eat less and look for cheap food at the grocery that is good for you but also tates somewhat decent. good luck!

Eat smaller portions, walk whenever you can. Perhaps you could take on some of the shopping responsibilities or meal planning at your home. It sounds like something you might be interested in doing for your family if they gave you that. Also if you are cooking it would give your parents some free time (something they might see a s a positive especially important if you are making foods that are not their favorites.) Good luck.
First I would ask your parents if you can go to the store together so you can help pick out healthier options that the whole family will want to eat. Avodi drinking any soda- even diet. Drink lots of water( 6-8 glasses a day) If your parents do choose unheatly things to buy at the store just eat smaller portions- after all you do need to eat. As far as excercise- school is starting soon so you could join some sort of sport that thou enjoy to play- or just jog in your neighborhood, or go swimming- you have lots of options! Good Luck!
rather then go running walk with some friends around your block. if your parents buy junk food try to stay away from it. dance in your room cuz dancing is considered exercise.
