Have i gotten really fat?


Question:
I'm 5'9'' and 305 pounds. I was thin about three years ago when i started liking food a little too much and my girlfriend seems to be a great cook feeding me a few of her dishes. I don't know if i got fat on purpose or if food seems to be drawn to me. So far i have a wide and bulgy belly, a big and wide butt that can hardly make me sit in small chairs, and a double chin. Is this too fat and if so how can i be who i was three years ago?

yea id say u put on some weight..but if ur gf is such a good cook thats prolly y..and to be who u were 3 yrs ago..ud have to stop eating all those fattening foods.and sweets..stick to veggies and fruits for snacks..and start exercising...stay away from soda too..its a proven fact that those ppl who drink diet are more likely to be over weight anyways even though they are drinking diet..good luck. and if u need some help sticking to a diet try going into one of yahoos weight loss support chatrooms.

Antonio yes you have gotten heavier and perhaps you did it to please your girlfriend. If she enjoys cooking for you and loves you as you are then that's wonderful. Perhaps she feels insecure and doesn't want other women attracted to you which would make this an unhealthy relationship both figuratively and literally speaking.

You should try to get back in shape. Try cutting down on portion sizes. Try eating healthy - fruits & vegetables and drink water. Obviously if you are out alone or not out with your gf this would be easier to do. Start exercising. You make no mention if your gf is also putting on some weight or if it just you. If she is still fit and attractive I might be concerned . have you put her down as beneficiary to your estate. You don't sound like a teenager so you may have already lived and amassed some financial assets.

Maybe she is a wonderful girl and just trying to please you. I can't tell from the info provided but if you wish to live a longer life then yes do try to get back into shape. Find something or someone to motivate you. According to the charts my doctor informed me that I was overweight. At 6'4" I should be 205lbs. In in my best tennis playing shape I was 6'4" 225 good muscle tone and size so for me being older 240 would be realistic but all he is looking at is the chart. If I were you I would try to get down to 250 at least your metabolism will increase the added muscle will help you burn more fat and you will feel much better. Perhaps your gf doesn't notice since she sees you everyday & maybe she is unaware of the future health hazards awaiting you too. Best wishes ... you can do it.
