just nibble on fruit or vegetables. drink more water to fill you up. put less on your plate.

try to eat low glycemic foods. avoid simple sugars as they will cause you to release more insulin than complex carbs. insulin sensitivity is the culprit here.

dont sit down in front of food when ur not hungry. if u sit down in front of food ur more likely to eat it. so dont sit down in front of it...and when someone cooks something if ur not hungry instead of walking in the kitchen and telling them ur not hungry..walk either simply to the doorway or kind of loudly say from whatever room ur in that ur not hungry. if that doesnt work..drink a tall glass of water.and keep drinking till u feel like ur gonna get sick. itll stop u from eating.

Find something else to occupy your time, go clean up, go outside, go for a walk..anything to keep you busy and get your mind past wanting to snack...after a few times you will get out of that groove of wanting to eat...worked for me.
Do stuff lik go to the gym go to shopping and do fun things and u wont think of food!
I chew sugarless gum to give me that sensation of chewing stuff if it's a nervous energy kind of thing

Make healthier choices, baby carrots and low cal dip, fruit, low cal icecream but don't cheat on the amount it says on the pkg. alot do;) Flavored rice cakes they have chocolate chip, yum...(o: It is all mind over matter you can repeat over and over i don't need this why am i eating it, am i bored...get busy call a friend get on the pc, distract yourself this habit will be gone..
First of all, your meals should consist of foods that stay longer in your system. More proteins and veggies, less carbs. If you do feel the need to snack, have something like a peice of fruit.
Drink alot of water and get out. If your out and busy, food will be nourishment, not something to make the time go by faster.
Brush your teeth do not rinse right away let your tongue get the flavor of the toothpaste for 1-2 min. it will cut your appetite, you'll be OK for few hours repeat as much as you like, you'll have a clean mouth and loose appetite.
You're eating from boredom. Try chewing gum or eating hard candy, crispy veggies or a few pretzels. They will help keep your mouth busy without adding a significant number of calories.

Every time you feel like snacking, make yourself do 15 press ups. You'll soon find yourself getting in shape, and not wanting to snack any where near as much!
