Can I lose 14lbs my October?
Question:
em.. theres this modelling competition which I'd like to enter (closing date is December 31st) and I'd just like to lose some weight and tone up. I know that I probably won't get picked but this comp is motivating me to lose this weigth which I have wanted to do for ages.
Please please help me... I want to do it the healthy way because then it won't come back on, I think although I know I'll have to eat healthy if I want to keep it off.
Thank you all soooo much :-)

ok i know my question seemed like i dont know anything about dieting and working out but i do, that question was just for laughs. your fine for your height but if you really do want to lose weight then just eat no sweets that arent fruit or healthy, eat raw or steemed veggies, grilled fish or chicken for dinner w/ some veggies, snacks could be nutri grain bars, whole grain crackers, lunch a salad or whole wheat bread sandwhiche halves, w/ fruit or yogart, breakfast like some cereal, maje sure its whole grain, and dont eat no more than 1300 calories a day.
for exercise,
some sort of cardio, at least 25 minutes 5 times week, running (which would be best) swimming, biking, jumping jacks, jumping rope, etc.
crunches and sit ups, you shouldnt do one w/ out the other b/c sit ups are good for your sides, back, and lower stomach, and then crunches are good for your upper an middle abs.
push ups- no more than 50 a day, b/c then you will build muscle which isnt good for a model or any girl for that matter unless you liek to look like a guy lol!
and you should be good in about a month!
dont aim for more thna 2lb's a week.
hope this helps! you really should try thsi it does work trust me. this is what i do and im only 110lbs!
I have lost a total of 120 pounds so far.
I lost 105 pounds in my first 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!
Don't even start dieting! Your weight is fine the way it is. It is a good and healthy choice to stay away from to many sweets and exercise is also good but please don't start worrying about your weight because you are at a very healthy weight now.
I dont think you need to lose weight!! I weight about the same, 5'4 and im 13!! If you were short then i would understand why you are so self- concious.. but we're both tall so we look skinnier then we actually feel. If you find out a way, please email me.
It is possible to loose 14 pounds by October, you have to diet and exercise. But remember you may gain weight from exercising because you will gain muscle and muscle weighs more then fat.
if you lost the weight you wanted... then you'd be underweight.
Also if you wanna tone up, then its impossible to lose that much weight (w/o being anorexic or belimic) cuz as you start to tone up and have muscle, then you GAIN weight.
Also because you're already skinny, the most you can lose is about 1lb a week (after the first 1-2 weeks)
Focus of being healthier rather than skinnier.
Your skinny! Why lose weight? I weigh 135lbs and im 15, but short. But dang your tall. i bet you are super skinny.
you DON'T need to lose weight. seriously. i'm sure everyone's telling you that, but it's true. you're on the thin side already, and your body is still growing and needs all the nutrition and energy it can get. so if you want to tone up, concentrate on exercise and not on your diet. keep eating enough to maintain your weight, but try pilates - it works your muscles to make them long and lean, even if you're not trying to lose weight. good luck!
Sounds good, although sit ups don't really help all that much. Still, it's not realistic to avoid sweets for the rest of your life. All things in moderation and whatnot. Good luck!
Weight Loss Facts:
Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.
Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK.
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.
What about Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig Dieting Plans?
Weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers (and Jenny Craig) usually involve slower dieting progress over a longer period of time, since such programs generally promise only 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week. Also, programs such as Jenny Craig usually involve buying special meals and/or dietary supplements during the initial phases of the program. While some people may like these types of dietary programs, we prefer a dieting plan which focuses on faster weight loss, such as the Accelerated Fat Burning Program shown below...
Far to many models are very anorexic. You are not over weight and you don't need to loose 14 lbs! Eat as healthy diet! But do take up walking as well as the crunches to tone up.It sounds like you just need to tone up and tighten up, don't worry about what the scales say!
