About diet sodas?

Question:
People say that diet sodas make you gain. I dont understand since they have 0 calories. If I were to eat nothing and only diet sodas, I dont think I would gain... can someone explain it to me?

Answers:
some studies say that the fake sugar in diet sodas makes your body think real sugar is fake as well, so your body responds by wanting more sugar (in the form of food). as long as your diet is healthy and sensible it really doesn't matter, though.
If they're calorie free then their mostly water with a little flavoring. I would not drink a lot of them though, they are diuretics.
i will say this, anything u consume has calories. i dont care what it is, some things just have less than others
i think the carbinated drinks cause weight gain, not the soda itself but the carbinated additive..
if you like drinking embalming fluid which is very harmful to your body. its what aspartame breaks down into. i use to drink 8 diet sodas a day and suffered severe tummy cramps and other things like sinus problems and so on. i only drink water now and feel 100% better. go for water.
