I've heard that whey protein basically makes you bigger over time and it stores more fat/muscle in the stomach, therefore covering up my abs with more fat. Is this true? Is it going against me or is it helping me to get the six pack?

whey protein yes... whey protein are pure calories, in te form of protein. if you consume more protein than you burn you will gain fat. fat is most easily deposited in your stomach area, which is why a sixpack is so hard to get.
It's not just your stomach fat that will stop you from getting a six pack.
