Lazy doing ab workout...help!?
Question:
My problem is that when it comes to ab workouts, I tend to get lazy. I can work out my entire body, do cardio and stretch but when it comes to crunches and any ab exercise, I lose my stamina.
Does this happen to anyone else? And how can I work through it? Please advise... thanx
Answers:
It doesn't sound like you are lazy. Your working the rest of your body and if you were lazy you wouldn't be.
It sounds more like you just don't like doing crunches. You don't need to do crunches to get good abs. There are other exercises that will give you better results with less energy.
The bicycle and push-aways are not a boring as crunches and in order to see good results you only have to do a total of 50 per day. This would get you through your ab routine much faster.
You can also do the towel stretch which will also give you good results. I don't do the towel stretch much but when it's time to clean my kitchen floor I take advantage of this stretch.
To do the towel stretch get on you the floor on your hands and knees with a towel under your hands. Now push the towel on the floor away from you so that your arms are outstretched and you feel your abs tighten. Now pull the towel back in towards you, making sure that you keep the towel on the floor.
You should feel an ab stretch both moving forward and backwards. If you do about 25 of these you should feel it the next morning through your entire ab area. Now when it's time for me to wash my kitchen floor I use a fairly wet mop or brush and then dry the floor by doing the towel stretches. It not only give me a good workout but it makes chores less horrible to do.
